DBA Gaming and Military History-By Musashi

About Us

My Wife Yukiko and I live in Clearwater Florida. We run a beekeeping business called Musashi The Bee www.musashithebee.com.

As for our home life, Yukiko is a wonderful cook and I’m the beneficiary of that! We both love watching Sumo together.

My undergraduate degree was in ancient civilizations and classics and I was an active duty U.S. Army Tanker with the Opfor at the National Training Center at Ft. Irwin in the Mojave Desert for a couple of years. I was later stationed in Germany with 2/70th armor where when deployed in the Gulf War, fought as part of 1st Armored Division (Old Ironsides) against the Medina Republican Guard in the largest tank battle in history.

I have combined my interests in ancient cultures and military history into one fun hobby-DBA Gaming!

I plan to blog often about general matters of military history that I find interesting. I also plan to take as many pictures to offer battle reports for DBA game events. I enjoy seeing other people’s battle reports so hopefully others will take enjoyment in mine as well!

  1. Greetings Musashi!

It was great meeting you last Saturday and I enjoyed our games very much (and not because I won the majority of them!) Your blog is very well done and I salute you. (Your Emperor is well pleased.)

I do have to re-educate you however, Rich and Tony are not the two ‘resident experts’ they claim to be. They both directly or indirectly learned the game from me! 😉

    • Hey Marty! I was just thinking about you. In fact I am in the process of writing a post on FADBAG because your fun littoral landing has me all gassed up. I can assure you I was aware your knowledge base was the germination of their newfound success. I was mainly bowing to Tony’s win being so fresh you could still detect the scent of the laurel garland around his head.

Actually the most interesting thing I learned all day was the littoral landing stuff. I’m really glad you played an army that featured that as that business is all new since I last played. I find it tactically fascinating! Again, I’m working on a FAGBAG post about this right now. I was mainly addressing it to you to hopefully add some refinement to my understanding.

To make amends for my lacksadaisical use of the appelation “master”, I have amended the post Marty.

      It now reads:

“Marty, Tony and Rich are our resident master players. This grizzled cadre provide me with wonderful resource to increase my skill level quickly! Like anything in life, to get better at something, challenge the best! Between the wonderful cameradie of the group and the technical expertise, I expect I will be more than simply competent in short order.”

You’ll have to continue my education , so your latest disciple will be soon kicking their butts! lol

I had a great time meeting you as well, Marty. I look forward to a long friendship and brotherhood of the DBA lol.If you don’t mind, I will avail you of your experience at various intervals.

Your son was a lot of fun too. He is very charming.

      Thanks,
      Musashi
